WARNING
CrossFit,
Highly Addictive
Each class is led by a highly experienced coach and each session begins with a group warm up, skill or strength set, then the infamous WOD (workout of the day). The WOD follows the CrossFit philosophy of broad, varied, and intensive training.
CrossFit is both a physical exercise philosophy and a competitive fitness sport, incorporating elements from high-intensity interval training, Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, strongman and other exercises.
How often should you go? If you’re just starting out, we recommend starting at 3-4 sessions per week, once you become adaptive – immerse yourself into this new world called “CrossFit”.
We do although recommend you listen to your body, when you need a day off to rest and repair – go for a Bay Walk, join our Yoga class, Stretch, Roll, work on a weakness … or simply Netflix and chill.
BEFORE CLASS TIPS
- Wear something you feel comfortable sweating in: tank and shorts/leggings for women, squatting style shorts for men.
- If you have an injury, please talk to the coach prior to class so that they can give you proper modifications.
AFTER CLASS TIPS
- Health Tip: Flush toxins from your body, start your day with a glass of warm water and freshly squeezed lemon.
