Believe it or not, 13 years ago, Jess struggled to run 20 meters. She was determined though and knew that she had physical and physchological baggage to shift. She started to run around her oval, just short intervals to begin with and slowly she increased the distance and the intensity. After a few months, she set goals to stay focused and registered for short local Fun Runs. Her body began to change, her mood was lifted and she realised that she actually now enjoyed exercising. Exercise was no longer a chore, like it had felt in the beginning.
Through exercise and a whole food diet, in that year she lost 20kg and went from not being able to run 20 meters to completing a Half Marathon and competing in numerous Triathlons and then competing in CrossFit.
A few years ago Jess became interested in reading research and talking to people about living a plant based lifestyle. She quickly learnt that she was able to obtain all the nutrients she needed to thrive through plants and over the course of 12 months transitioned to a vegan plant based lifestyle and feels the healthiest and happiest she has ever been!
Jess loves to inspire people to not only fuel their bodies with nutritious food but also to move their bodies through exercise. She loves to welcome new people into her classes and is incredibly passionate about working with our TC members to develop and learn new skills!”
